Northwestern will be making its third-straight trip to the NCAA Semifinals while Maryland saw its season come to an end as NCAA Field Hockey Quarterfinals concluded Sunday at campus sites.

EVANSTON, Ill. — Second-ranked Northwestern secured its first lead of the game with 1:07 left in regulation to post a 3-2 come-from-behind win over 10th-ranked Louisville at Lakeside Field.

Lauren Wadas scored the game-winner at 58:53 as Northwestern (20-1) converted on three penalty corners. NU avenged its only loss of the season and extended its winning streak to 20 consecutive matches.

Northwestern will meet Duke at 3 p.m. ET on Friday in a game carried on ESPN+.

COLLEGE PARK, Md. — Fourth-ranked Maryland fell behind by two goals before the half and couldn't recover in a 4-0 loss to fifth-ranked Virginia at the Field Hockey and Women's Lacrosse Complex. It was a rare loss for the Terrapins, who went 8-3 on their home turf this season.

Maryland managed one shot on goal while its goalkeeper Alyssa Klebasko finished with seven saves. The Terrapins, who were making their 35th appearance in the NCAA Tournament, concluded a strong campaign with a 17-6 record.
