Johns Hopkins, Maryland, Ohio State Collect Weekly Men’s Lacrosse Honors

Blue Jays’ Callahan, Buckeyes’ Marinier and White, Terrapins’ Schaller net weekly awards

ROSEMONT, Ill. – The Big Ten Conference has announced its Men’s Lacrosse Awards for the week of March 11th-18th 2025.  

Offensive Players of the Week 
Alex Marinier, Ohio State 
Senior – Attack – Burlington, Ontario – Major: Finance 

  • Marinier scored a team-high five goals in the 15-11 win over Denver Sunday
  • Added a ground ball and caused turnover in the contest
  • His effort was a part of Ohio State’s first win over Denver since 2017
  • On the season, Marinier has a Big Ten best 29 goals and has recorded six hat tricks in nine games
  • Marinier’s third Offensive Player of the Week Award. Last: March 11, 2025 

Defensive Player of the Week 
Will Schaller, Maryland 
Junior  – Defense –Bel Air, MD – Major: Philosophy, Politics, and Economics 

  • Led the defensive effort in No. 1 Maryland’s 12-6 win over No. 18 Virginia
  • Held Virginia’s McCabe Millon, a preseason Second-Team All-American, to no goals and just one point
  • Corralled two ground balls and caused one turnover
  • Schaller’s second Defensive Player of the Week Award. Last: March 4, 2025 

Specialist of the Week 
Logan Callahan, Johns Hopkins 
Senior – Face-off – Victor, N.Y. – Major: Economics 

  • Fueled Johns Hopkins’ 12-9 win at Navy with 20 face off wins and 15 ground balls
  • Callahan’s 20 face off wins are a career high and most by a Johns Hopkins player since 2022
  • The 15 ground balls also matched a personal best
  • Last Johns Hopkins Specialist of the Week Award: Chayse IerIan (April 23, 2024) 

Freshman of the Week 
Liam White, Ohio State 
Freshman – Midfield – Western Springs, Ill. – Major: Business 

  • Recorded one goal and one assist in the Buckeyes’ win at Denver
  • His performance was the second multi-point performance of the season and third consecutive game with a goal and point
  • His effort was a part of Ohio State’s first win over Denver since 2017
  • Last Ohio State Freshman the Week Award: Caleb Fyock (April 2, 2024)
