Eleven Big Ten Players Selected in PLL Draft

ROSEMONT, Ill. – Eleven players from the Big Ten Conference were selected at the 2024 Premier Lacrosse League Draft, held May 7 in Bristol, Conn.
Maryland’s Ajax Zappitello, the 2024 Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year, was chosen third overall by the Maryland Whipsnakes while Rutgers midfielder Shane Knobloch, a 2024 Big Ten First Team selection, was selected fourth overall by the Carolina Chaos.
All six Big Ten programs were represented in the draft as Johns Hopkins had a conference-high three players selected followed by Maryland (2), Michigan (2), Rutgers (2), Ohio State (1) and Penn State (1).
The sixth PLL season begins June 1-2 in Albany, N.Y.
