HEAMPSTEAD, N.Y.
— Maryland delivered in crunch time to earn a trip to NCAA Championship Weekend with a 14-11 win over Duke in an NCAA Men's Lacrosse Quarterfinal match held Saturday at Shuart Stadium.

The 10th-ranked Terrapins (10-5) trailed 9-7 entering the fourth quarter before exploding for seven goals to pull out the win against the second-ranked Blue Devils (13-6).

Daniel Maltz scored a pair of goals with five minutes left in regulation to break an 11-11 tie as Maryland made the most of its first lead of the game.

Maryland continues its title quest next Saturday, meeting the winner of Sunday's Johns Hopkins-Virginia game.
