Nebraska, Penn State and USC Collect Weekly Men’s Outdoor Track and Field Honors

Huskers’ Lamberts, Nittany Lions’ Dwyer, and Trojans Broderick earn awards

ROSEMONT, Ill. – The Big Ten Conference has announced its Men’s Outdoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week for the week of March 25th-April 1st, 2026.  

Track Athlete of the Week  
Ajani Dwyer, Penn State 
Sophomore – Sprints – Sewell, N.J. – Major: Accounting 

  • Won the 100m at the Knights Invite in Orlando, Fla.  
  • Recorded a time of of 9.96, which is best in the NCAA this season by nearly .14 seconds 
  • Last Penn State Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week award: Ajani Dwyer (April 23, 2025) 

Field Athlete of the Week 
Racquil Broderick, USC 
Junior – Throws – Port Maria, Jamaica  – Major: Real Estate Development 

  • Threw the NCAA-leading mark in the men’s discus at the Trojan Invite 
  • His mark of 62.87m (206-3) was on his first throw of the season 
  • Last USC Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week award: J.C. Stevenson (April 23, 2025) 

Freshman of the Week 
Hencu Lamberts, Nebraska 
Freshman – Throws – Pretoria, South Africa – Major: Management 

  • Won the shot put title at the Hurricane Collegiate Invitational 
  • His winning mark of 19.23m (63-1 ¼) is second in the Big Ten and fourth nationally in the event 
  • Last Nebraska Outdoor Freshman of the Week Award: Riley Boonstra (May 14, 2025) 

 

2026 Men’s Outdoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week 

March 25 
Track: Prior Ochonogor, IOWA 
Field: Emmanuel Njoku, IOWA/Brian O’Sullivan, RU 
Freshman: John Caleb, MINN 

April 1 
Track: Ajani Dwyer, PSU 
Field: Racquil Broderick, USC 
Freshman: Hencu Lamberts, NEB
