Nebraska, Penn State and USC Collect Weekly Men’s Outdoor Track and Field Honors
Huskers’ Lamberts, Nittany Lions’ Dwyer, and Trojans Broderick earn awards
ROSEMONT, Ill. – The Big Ten Conference has announced its Men’s Outdoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week for the week of March 25th-April 1st, 2026.
Track Athlete of the Week
Ajani Dwyer, Penn State
Sophomore – Sprints – Sewell, N.J. – Major: Accounting
- Won the 100m at the Knights Invite in Orlando, Fla.
- Recorded a time of of 9.96, which is best in the NCAA this season by nearly .14 seconds
- Last Penn State Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week award: Ajani Dwyer (April 23, 2025)
Field Athlete of the Week
Racquil Broderick, USC
Junior – Throws – Port Maria, Jamaica – Major: Real Estate Development
- Threw the NCAA-leading mark in the men’s discus at the Trojan Invite
- His mark of 62.87m (206-3) was on his first throw of the season
- Last USC Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week award: J.C. Stevenson (April 23, 2025)
Freshman of the Week
Hencu Lamberts, Nebraska
Freshman – Throws – Pretoria, South Africa – Major: Management
- Won the shot put title at the Hurricane Collegiate Invitational
- His winning mark of 19.23m (63-1 ¼) is second in the Big Ten and fourth nationally in the event
- Last Nebraska Outdoor Freshman of the Week Award: Riley Boonstra (May 14, 2025)
