ROSEMONT, Ill. – The Big Ten Conference has announced its Men’s Outdoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week for the week of April 16-23, 2025.
Track Athlete of the Week & Freshman of the Week
Ajani Dwyer, Penn State
Freshman – Sprints – Sewell, N.J. – Major: Accounting
- Set the fastest 100m time in Penn State history under all conditions with a time of 10.05
- His 10.05 is the top time in the Big Ten and the 10th-fastest time in the NCAA
- With that time, he finished first in the preliminaries at the Virginia Challenge
- Dwyer’s second Outdoor Freshman of the Week Award. Last: April 2, 2025
- Last Penn State Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week award: Handal Roban (April 9, 2025)
Field Athlete of the Week
JC Stevenson, USC
Junior – Multi-event – Temecula, Calif. – Major: Business
- Recorded a long jump of 26-3.75/8.02 (+1.8) to finish first among collegians and second overall at the Mt. SAC Relays Invitational
- His jump sits atop the Big Ten this season and is also the top wind-legal jump in the NCAA so far this season
