USTFCCCA Recognizes 14 Big Ten Individuals with Regional Awards
ROSEMONT, Ill. – The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced its regional athletes and coaches of the year for the 2024 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field season, which featured 14 individuals from the Big Ten Conference.
Members coaches voted on the honors after the 2024 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field Championships and considered performances from throughout the season.
Men’s Track Athlete of the Year
Great Lakes Region – Adam Spencer, Wisconsin
Mid-Atlantic Region – Cheickna Traore, Penn State
Midwest Region – Darius Luff, Nebraska
Men’s Field Athlete of the Year
Great Lakes Region – Heath Baldwin, Michigan State
Midwest Region – Tyus Wilson, Nebraska
Men’s Coach of the Year
Midwest Region – Justin St. Clair, Nebraska
Men’s Assistant Coach of the Year
Great Lakes Region – Dave Astrauskas, Wisconsin
Mid-Atlantic Region – Brandon Rizzo, Penn State
Midwest Region – Brenton Emanuel, Nebraska
Women’s Field Athlete of the Year
Mid-Atlantic Region – Chloe Timberg, Rutgers
Midwest Region – Rhema Otabor, Nebraska
