UCLA and Purdue Claim Big Ten Softball Weekly Awards

Player of the Week 
Jordan Woolery, UCLA 
Sr. – INF – Walnut Creek, Calif. – Clayton Valley Charter High School 

• Led UCLA in hits (9), home runs (3), RBI (9), runs scored (7), doubles (3), total bases (21) and slugging percentage (1.750) in its sweep of Wisconsin to open Big Ten play  
• In game one on Friday, Woolery went 4-for-4 with a pair of three-run home runs to match her career high in RBI with six. Her second home run was a run-rule walk-off 
• Added her third three-run home run of the weekend in the second inning of game two on Saturday  
• Capped the weekend with a 4-for-5 performance that featured three doubles, tying a UCLA single-game record that was last accomplished seven seasons ago  
• Collects third Player of the Week honor of the season

Pitcher of the Week 
Julia Gossett, Purdue  
Jr. – P – Massillon, Ohio – Jackson 

• Picked up three victories in a four-game week for the Boilermakers 
• Pitched 12.0 innings with a 0.58 ERA, with 22 strikeouts, surrendering six hits with a .146 BAA 
• Earned a shutout victory over Green Bay, striking out 11 batters, including five of the first six batters she faced and made the sixth out on a line drive back to the mound  
• Earns second consecutive Pitcher of the Week honor  
• Last Purdue Pitcher of the Week: Julia Gossett (March 2, 2025) 

Freshman of the Week 
Anna Moore, Purdue 
INF – Indianapolis, Ind.  – Cathedral  

• Hit .667 with six hits, six RBI, including two doubles, one triple and a home run in home debut as a Boilermaker  
• Slugged 1.444 with a .750 OB%, while also stealing a base and scoring three runs  
• In the field, she was a perfect 4-for-4 in putouts for a 1.000 fielding percentage  
• Last Purdue Freshman of the Week: Ashlynn Campbell (March 4, 2024)
