Indiana, Nebraska and Purdue Earn Big Ten Softball Weekly Awards

Player of the Week 
Aly VanBrandt, Indiana 
Jr. – INF – Ottawa Lake, Mich. – Whiteford 

• Helped the Hoosiers to a 3-1 record last week with a win over Loyola Chicago and a series victory over Rutgers 
• Hit .625 (10-for-16) at the plate with four home runs and two doubles, totaling 11 RBI, nine runs scored and was hit by a pitch twice and recorded one stolen base, recording zero strikeouts in 16 plate appearances  
• Against Loyola Chicago, VanBrandt was 4-for-5 with three home runs and seven RBI, both of those marks tied a single-game program record 
• Collects second Player of the Week honor of the season

Pitcher of the Week 
Alexis Jensen, Nebraska 
Fr. – P – Gretna, Neb. – Gretna 

• Went 2-0 in the circle to help Nebraska to a sweep of Michigan in the Big Ten opening series 
• Posted a 3.11 ERA over nine innings, striking out 12 and allowing just four runs, limiting opponents to a .222 batting average 
• Last Nebraska Pitcher of the Week: Hannah Camenzind (Feb. 23, 2026) 

Freshman of the Week 
Anna Moore, Purdue 
INF – Indianapolis, Ind.  – Cathedral 

• Totaled eight hits while starting and playing in all five games for the Boilermakers last week, hitting .533 while recording 10 RBI, seven runs scored and two home runs 
• Slugged .933 with a .650 on-base percentage, while earning a 1.000 fielding percentage with seven put outs and five assists  
• In the series against Ohio State, Moore tallied seven hits, five runs, eight RBI and a home run 
• The Boilers extended their win streak to 14, marking the program’s longest-ever win streak. Purdue also earned its first series victory over Ohio State for the first time since 2014 
• Earns second consecutive Freshman of the Week honor
