Oregon and Northwestern Claim Final Big Ten Softball Weekly Awards

Player of the Week 
Stefini Ma’ake, Oregon 
So. – 1B/DP – San Diego, Calif. – Academy of Our Lady Peace 

• Hit .636 (7-for-11) with a double, two home runs and eight RBI to lead No. 11 Oregon to a series win at No. 5 UCLA 
• In game one, Ma’ake hit two home runs and drove in four runs to lead the Ducks to an 8-2 win 
• In game two, Ma’ake went 4-for-5, and her fourth inning two-RBI double broke a 6-6 tie and put Oregon ahead for good  
• It was Oregon’s first series win at UCLA since 2015

Pitcher and Freshman of the Week 
Marina Mason, Northwestern 
Fr. – P – Brentwood, Tenn. – Brentwood 

• Went 2-0 with two complete games in the circle as Northwestern earned a series victory over Minnesota 
• Posted a 0.50 ERA (1 ER/14.0 IP) and limited Minnesota to a .085 opposing batting average throughout the weekend 
• Tosses a one-hit shutout in Sunday’s 6-0 win, recording her Big Ten-leading seventh complete game shutout of the season 
• Carried a no-hit bid into the sixth inning and retired 22 of 25 batters faced throughout Sunday’s game, while striking out a career-high 12  
• Allowed just three hits and one run in 7.0 IP in Friday’s 5-1 win, retiring eight of the last nine batters she faced
