2025 Big Ten Softball Tournament Bracket Released

Oregon earns No. 1 seed for tournament to be held May 7-10 at Purdue

ROSEMONT, Ill. – The Big Ten Conference has announced the full 12-team, single-elimination bracket for the Big Ten Softball Tournament that will take place May 7-10 at Bittinger Stadium on the campus of Purdue University.  

Oregon (47-6 19-3 Big Ten) is the No. 1 seed for this year’s tournament after earning its first Big Ten Championship as part of its inaugural year in the Big Ten. The Ducks will begin their postseason run on Thursday at 4:30 p.m. ET in a quarterfinal game against the winner of No. 8 Michigan vs. No. 9 Wisconsin.  

UCLA (47-9, 17-5 Big Ten) earned the No. 2 seed and will play its first-ever Big Ten Tournament game on Thursday vs. the winner of Wednesday’s first-round game between seventh-seeded Washington and No. 10 seed Indiana.  

Nebraska (38-12, 17-5 Big Ten) claimed the No. 3 seed after not dropping a conference series throughout the regular season. The Huskers seek their second tournament title, winning the program’s first tournament championship in 2022. Nebraska will meet either No. 6 Iowa or No. 11 Penn State in the first quarterfinal game on Thursday at 11 a.m. ET.

Rounding out the top four seeds is Ohio State (43-11-1, 16-6 Big Ten), claiming the last of the tournament byes into the quarterfinal round. The Buckeyes took all six of their three-game weekend series throughout the regular season and will begin Big Ten Tournament play against either No. 5 seed Northwestern or No. 12 seed Purdue on Thursday at 7 p.m. ET.  

All 11 games of this year’s Big Ten Tournament will be televised live on Big Ten Network and will also be available in the FOX Sports app. 

The 2025 Big Ten Softball Tournament schedule is as follows: 

Wednesday, May 7 (First Round) 
Game 1 (#11 Penn State vs. #6 Iowa) – 11 a.m. ET (BTN) 
Game 2 (#10 Indiana vs. #7 Washington) – 1:30 p.m. ET (BTN) 
Game 3 (#9 Wisconsin vs. #8 Michigan) – 4:30 p.m. ET (BTN) 
Game 4 (#12 Purdue vs. #5 Northwestern) – 7 p.m. ET (BTN) 

Thursday, May 8 (Quarterfinals) 
Game 5 (#3 Nebraska vs. Game 1 winner) – 11 a.m. ET (BTN) 
Game 6 (#2 UCLA vs. Game 2 winner) – 1:30 p.m. ET (BTN) 
Game 7 (#1 Oregon vs. Game 3 winner) – 4:30 p.m. ET (BTN) 
Game 8 (#4 Ohio State vs. Game 4 winner) – 7 p.m. ET (BTN) 

Friday, May 9 (Semifinals) 
Game 9 (Game 5 vs. Game 6 winner) – 5 p.m. ET (BTN)
Game 10 (Game 7 vs. Game 8 winner) – 7:30 p.m. ET (BTN) 

Saturday, May 10 (Championship) 
Game 11 (Game 9 vs. Game 10 winner) – 4 p.m. ET (BTN)
