NFCA Selects Four from Big Ten to All-America Teams

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Four Big Ten softball student-athletes have earned All-American recognition by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA). Rutgers’ Morgan Smith and Minnesota’s Jess Oakland were second team selections, while Northwestern’s Kelsey Nader and Nebraska’s Billie Andrews were recognized on the third team.

Smith is Rutgers' first-ever NFCA All-American. Oakland, Minnesota’s 16th All-American, earned her first career recognition after being named the Big Ten Player of the Year earlier this month.   

Nader is the 13th All-American in the history of Northwestern softball and Andrews was selected for the second time in her Nebraska career, earning third team honors in 2023.
