Michigan and UCLA to Meet in Big Ten Softball Tournament Championship

Bruins face reigning Big Ten Tournament Champions on Saturday at Bittinger Stadium

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - No. 8 seed Michigan and second-seed UCLA advanced to the Big Ten Softball Tournament Championship game on Saturday at Bittinger Stadium in West Lafayette, Ind.

The Bruins were led by Kaitlyn Terry's 13 strikeout, complete game effort in a 4-2 victory over No. 3 Nebraska in Friday's first semifinal. UCLA beat Indiana on Thursday, 5-4 and seek the program's first Big Ten Tournament Championship as part of their inaugural season in the conference.

Michigan topped 12-seed Purdue, 4-2, to advance to the program's fourth championship game in the past five seasons, winning the title in 2024 and 2019. Michigan shutout top-seeded Oregon on Thursday, 5-0, handing the nationally-ranked Ducks just their second shutout loss of the season.

First pitch between the Bruins and Wolverines is set for 4 p.m. ET, with live coverage available on Big Ten Network.
