<div class="payload-richtext">ROSEMONT, Ill. - The Big Ten has qualified seven teams for the 2026 NCAA Division I Softball Tournament. Nebraska received the conference’s automatic bid, while UCLA, Oregon, Indiana, Michigan, Washington and Wisconsin earned at-large bids into this year’s tournament.  Nebraska (No. 4 seed), UCLA (No. 8 seed) and Oregon (No. 14 seed) will each host a regional, with Nebraska and UCLA hosting a super regional if they were to win this weekend’s regional. The NCAA field includes 64 teams taking part in 16 on-campus regionals in a double-elimination format, May 15-17. Sixteen winners will advance to eight on-campus super regionals on May 21-24, with eight teams advancing to the NCAA Women’s College World Series (WCWS), held May 28-June 4/5, at Devon Park in Oklahoma City, Okla. The WCWS is double elimination during bracket play and best-of-three for the championship series.  No. 4 Nebraska (46-6) was selected for the tournament for the 28th time in program history and 24th time in the last 31 seasons. The Huskers, who are hosting a regional for the first time since 2013, will begin tournament play against South Dakota at 6:30 p.m. ET on Friday, May 15.  No. 8 seed UCLA (47-8) is making its record 41st NCAA Tournament appearance and will host a regional for the 12th straight season, welcoming Cal Baptist to Easton Stadium on Friday at 10 p.m. ET on ESPN2. South Carolina and Cal State Fullerton are also in the Los Angeles Regional.  No. 14 seed Oregon (40-12) will begin the postseason at Jane Sanders Stadium, hosting Idaho State on Friday at 10 p.m. ET on ESPNU. The Ducks will be making their sixth-straight NCAA tournament appearance and 26th overall.  Indiana (42-14) begins its postseason run in Knoxville against Virginia on Friday at 8 p.m. ET on ESPN2. The Hoosiers have advanced to the NCAA Tournament in four consecutive seasons and 11 times overall.  Michigan (34-20) earned its 32nd selection to the NCAA Tournament and will head to the Norman Regional to open play against Kansas on Friday at 6 p.m. ET on ESPNU. Seven Big Ten Softball Teams Selected to NCAA Tournament

<div class="payload-richtext">COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Top-seeded Nebraska defeated No. 3-seed UCLA, 7-2, on Saturday at the Maryland Softball Complex to clinch the 2026 Big Ten Softball Tournament championship presented by Allstate. It’s the Huskers’ second tournament title, having also won in 2022.  UCLA’s Megan Grant hit a home run in the top of the third inning to add to the Bruins’ lead to make it 2-0. It was Grant’s 38th home run of the season, which set the all-time NCAA Division I record for home runs in a single season.  Nebraska then scored five unanswered runs on a pair of two-out, two-strike hits in the bottom of the third and fourth innings to take the lead. The Huskers added two more to their advantage in the bottom of the sixth inning with a solo home run by Ava Kuszak and a two-out error.  Jordy Frahm pitched a complete game for the Huskers, striking out eight with a 1.25 ERA, limiting the Bruins to just five hits.  Frahm was named the tournament’s Most Outstanding Player and was selected to the All-Tournament Team. Weather Forces Time Change to Big Ten Softball Tournament Championship Game  

<div class="payload-richtext">ROSEMONT, Ill. - The Big Ten Conference announced the 2026 All-Big Ten Softball Teams and individual awards on Friday. Nebraska and UCLA earned individual accolades through a vote of the conference’s 17 head coaches.    UCLA’s Jordan Woolery was named Player of the Year, while Nebraska’s Jordy Frahm earned Pitcher of the Year honors and teammate Alexis Jensen was selected as Freshman of the Year. Nebraska head coach Rhonda Revelle was named Coach of the Year.  Woolery leads the nation in RBIs and is the fifth player in NCAA Division I history to record 100+ RBIs in a season, with a UCLA program-record 106 so far this season. Woolery is on pace to become the first player in NCAA history with a .500+ batting average, 30+ home runs and 100+ RBIs in the same year. Woolery is the first Bruin to earn a Big Ten softball individual honor.   Frahm was selected as Pitcher of the Year for the second consecutive season and becomes the fourth player in Big Ten history to earn the honor in back-to-back seasons. Frahm leads the nation with 10 saves on the year and set the Nebraska single-season saves record on March 27, surpassing a mark previously held by current head coach Rhonda Revelle. Frahm has put together a 17-4 record in the circle with a 1.25 ERA and 193 strikeouts.   Jensen becomes the second Husker to be named Big Ten Freshman of the Year (Ava Bredwell, 2022) after a regular-season campaign that featured a 21-2 record in the circle with a 2.72 ERA. Jensen struck out 185 batters while allowing only 31 walks. At the plate, Jensen is batting .333 with six home runs, four doubles and 17 RBI. Jensen was tabbed as a top-10 candidate for the NFCA Freshman of the Year award.   The Husker pitching duo of Frahm and Jensen has started 38 games for Nebraska and owns a combined 38-6 record. The two have accounted for every win the Huskers have had against a ranked opponent this season. As of May 7, in games that Jensen has started and Frahm has come in relief, the two have combined for a record of 12-0 and an ERA of 2.10 with 114 strikeouts.   In her 34th season leading the softball program at her alma mater, Revelle led the Huskers to their first-ever outright Big Ten regular season title, finishing with a 23-1 record in Big Ten competition. Revelle was named Big Ten Coach of the Year in 2014 and has been selected as the conference coach of the year three other times in her career. Revelle notched her 1,200th win at Nebraska on April 5 and is the winningest head coach in Nebraska Athletics history (male or female).   In addition to the individual award winners, the Big Ten announced its All-Big Ten First and Second Teams, nine student-athletes on the All-Defensive Team and 11 selections to the All-Freshman team.    The Big Ten also announced the 17 Sportsmanship Award honorees from each institution. The student-athletes chosen have distinguished themselves through sportsmanship and ethical behavior. Oregon and Northwestern Claim Final Big Ten Softball Weekly Awards 

<div class="payload-richtext"> ROSEMONT, Ill. - The Big Ten Conference has announced the complete 12-team, single-elimination bracket for the Big Ten Softball Tournament presented by Allstate that will take place May 6-9 at the University of Maryland.  Nebraska (43-6, 23-1 Big Ten) is the No. 1 overall seed for this year’s tournament after clinching the program’s first-ever Big Ten regular season title, tying the Big Ten record for most conference wins in a single season. The Huskers begin the postseason on Thursday at 1:30 p.m. ET in a quarterfinal game against the winner of No. 9 Michigan and No. 8 Ohio State.  Oregon (40-11, 20-4 Big Ten) clinched the No. 2 seed after not dropping a single Big Ten series throughout the regular season, pushing its conference series winning streak to 16 dating back to last season. The Ducks will face the winner of No. 10 Purdue vs. No. 7 Wisconsin in Thursday’s third quarterfinal game.  UCLA (45-7, 20-4 Big Ten) received the No. 3 seed and will meet either No. 11 Penn State or No. 6 Northwestern in the final quarterfinal game on Thursday.  Rounding out the top four seeds is Indiana (41-13, 17-7 Big Ten), which won seven of its eight conference series. <div class="payload-richtext">ROSEMONT, Ill. - With a pair of wins over Penn State, Nebraska softball improved to 42-6 with a 22-1 mark in Big Ten play, clinching the outright Big Ten regular season championship. It’s Nebraska’s first outright Big Ten championship in program history, as the Huskers shared the title with Michigan in 2014.  The Huskers are on a 17-game win streak, the nation’s longest active streak, and have won 31 of their last 32 games. The streak ties as the fourth-longest in program history. Nebraska will finish its series at Penn State on Sunday at noon ET on Big Ten Network, then heads to Maryland for the Big Ten Softball Tournament presented by Allstate, scheduled for May 6-9.  </div>
