Lee, Lau Earn Big Ten Women's Golf Weekly Awards
UCLA sophomore, Northwestern rookie claim honors after Windy City performances
ROSEMONT, Ill. – UCLA sophomore Jenny Lee has been named the Big Ten Women’s Golfer of the Week, while Northwestern’s Arianna Lau was honored as Freshman of the Week, for tournaments from Sept. 26 – Oct. 2.
Golfer of the Week
Jenny Lee, UCLA
Sophomore – Osan, South Korea – Collegiate Acdemy of Seoul/Baylor – Sociology
- Fired an 8-under 208 (70-68-70) to earn her first college win at the Windy City Collegiate Classic hosted at Glen View Club in Golf, Illinois
- One of only six players in the field to card three consecutive rounds under par
- Dominated on the course’s longest offerings, playing the Par-5s at a tournament-best 8-under
Freshman of the Week
Arianna Lau, Northwestern
Freshman – Hong Kong, China – Malvern College Hong Kong
- Carded a 4-under 212 (69-71-72) to finish T6 at the Windy City Collegiate Classic hosted at Glen View Club in Golf, Illinois
- Her opening 69 was the best round of her collegiate career thus far, during which she has finished Top-10 in all three events
- Led the Wildcats to a share of the Windy City team title, their first victory of the season
