Nguyen Named Big Ten Women’s Golfer of the Week

ROSEMONT, Ill. – Northwestern senior Lauryn Nguyen has been named the Big Ten Women’s Golfer of the Week for tournaments played April 3-9.

The 2025 Big Ten Women’s Golf Championships will take place April 18-20 at Bulle Rock Golf Club in Havre de Grace, Maryland. The conference currently has six teams ranked among the Top-30 in the nation, led by No. 3 Oregon, No. 7 USC and No. 10 Northwestern.

Women’s Golfer of the Week

Lauryn Nguyen, Northwestern

Senior - New Albany, Ohio - New Albany - Finance

• Earned her first victory of the season, and second of her collegiate career, at the Chevron Silverado Showdown hosted at Silverado Country Club in Napa, California
• Equaled her season-best with a 9-under 207 (70-68-69) to win by four strokes in a field that featured 15 Top-100 players
• Was the only student-athlete on the leaderboard to post three consecutive rounds under-par
• Led the Wildcats to a third straight team title at Silverado
• Also competed last week at the 2025 Augusta National Women’s Amateur
