Francesca Fiorellini Named Big Ten Women’s Golfer of the Week

ROSEMONT, Ill. – UCLA freshman Francesca Fiorellini has been named the Big Ten Women’s Golfer of the Week for tournaments played Feb. 20-26.

• Earned her first collegiate victory at the Bruin Wave Invitational hosted at Valencia Country Club
• Carded a 9-under 207 (69-68-70) and finished as the only player in the 72-person field under-par, ten strokes ahead of her closest competition
• Concluded the final round with birdies on four of her final six holes to etch her name into the Bruin Wave Invitational record book with the lowest score in tournament history
• Helped lead the Bruins to the team title, their first win of the season
