ROSEMONT, Ill. – Senior Michaela Vavrova of Nebraska has been named Big Ten Conference Women’s Golfer of the Week for tournaments played Sept. 11-12.

Shot a career-best 11-under-par 205 to tie for fifth place (out of 71 golfers) at the Sam Golden Invitational, held Sept. 11-12 at Oakmont Country Club in Corinth, Texas
Carded three rounds in the 60s (69-68-68) to finish with a 68.3 stroke average and the third-best 54-hole score in school history
Shaved 11 shots off her previous low score in helping Nebraska to a fifth-place finish against a field that included six NCAA regional teams from 2023
The two-time Academic All-Big Ten selection earns her second Big Ten weekly award
