Women’s Lacrosse League Selects 7 from Big Ten in 2026 Draft
ROSEMONT, Ill. – Seven Big Ten women’s lacrosse student-athletes were selected in the 2026 Women’s Lacrosse League College Draft on Wednesday night.
Players from four Big Ten programs were taken in the draft’s four rounds, with Northwestern leading the way with three draft picks. Two players from Maryland were drafted, while Johns Hopkins and Michigan had one selection each.
Northwestern attacker Madison Taylor was the first overall selection in the draft by the California Palms.
The Women’s Lacrosse League is a professional lacrosse sixes league, the sole lacrosse league for women in the United States. The four-team league will begin its inaugural regular season in May.
The Big Ten women’s lacrosse regular season will conclude on Saturday with four conference games. The 2026 Big Ten Women’s Lacrosse Tournament, presented by Allstate, will take place April 22-26 at the U-M Lacrosse Stadium in Ann Arbor, Mich.
