Tewaaraton Foundation Names 7 from Big Ten to 2026 Nominees List
WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Tewaaraton Foundation has announced the 2026 women’s Nominees for the Tewaaraton Award presented by Stifel, a list that includes seven Big Ten student-athletes.
Johns Hopkins’ Ava Angello, Lacey Downey, Reagan O’Brien and JJ Suriano, Maryland’s Kori Edmondson and Lauren Lapointe, and Northwestern’s Madison Taylor were listed among the nominees for the Tewaaraton Award, the preeminent lacrosse award, annually honoring the top college lacrosse player in the United States
The selection committees are composed of premier college coaches and are appointed annually by the Tewaaraton Foundation.
Five men’s and five women’s finalists will be selected from these groups, to be announced May 7 at the conclusion of the regular season. They will be honored on May 28 at theTewaaraton Award Ceremony presented by Stifel at the Andrew W Mellon Auditorium, in Washington D.C.
