ROSEMONT, Ill. – The Big Ten Conference has announced this week’s Women’s Lacrosse Weekly Awards for the week of March 26-April 1.

Offensive Player & Freshman of the Week 

Kate Tyack, Ohio State

Fr. – A – Dublin, Ohio – Dublin Coffman – Major: Marketing

• Totaled four fourth quarter points as Ohio State upset No. 19 Penn State 9-8
• Scored all three of her goals in the final 2:56 of the game.
• Tied the game with 1:04 to play before scoring the game-winning marker with 10 seconds on the clock
• Scores her first career Offensive Player of the Week honor
• Notches her second career Freshman of the Week award
• Last Ohio State Offensive Player of the Week: Sophie Baez (March 29, 2022)
• Last Ohio State Freshman of the Week: Kate Tyack (Feb. 20, 2024)

Midfielder of the Week

• Corralled 13 draw controls in No. 9 Johns Hopkins’ 21-13 win over then-No. 9 James Madison
• Recorded second-most draw controls in a game in program history
• Single-handedly matched James Madison in draw controls
• Nabs her first career Midfielder of the Week award

Defensive Player of the Week  

Regan Alexander, Ohio State

Sr. – GK – Orlando, Fla. – Lake Highland Prep – Major: Finance

• Notched 11 saves, four ground balls, and one caused turnover in the Buckeyes’ 9-8 win over Penn State
• Posted six fourth quarter saves
• Held the Nittany Lions scoreless over the game’s final 20:34, allowing Ohio State to comeback from an 8-2 fourth quarter deficit
• Earns her second career Defensive Player of the Week accolade
