21 Big Ten Players Named to Inside Lacrosse Women's All-America Teams

ROSEMONT, Ill. – A total of 21 Big Ten women’s lacrosse student-athletes were named to the Inside Lacrosse Magazine 2024 Women’s All-America Lacrosse Teams on Thursday.

Players from six Big Ten teams were recognized, including six from Northwestern, five from Michigan, and four from Maryland. Johns Hopkins collected three accolades, one more than Penn State, while Rutgers claimed one.

The six players named to the First Team, Meghan Ball, Maddie Burns, Erin O’Grady, Izzy Scane, Cassidy Spilis, and Madison Taylor, represented four programs, Maryland, Michigan, Northwestern, and Rutgers.

Of the 21 players to collect postseason honors, 12 were also named to the Inside Lacrosse Preseason All-America Team, including Ball and Scane, who were named to the First Team on both squads.

The Inside Lacrosse All-America Team is the second of three All-America Teams to be released this postseason. The USA Lacrosse Magazine teams was announced on Thursday, May 9, while the IWLCA honor will be released later this month.
