Gophers’ Streit, Huskers’ Belquist and Wildcats’ Drake earn merits
ROSEMONT, Ill. – The Big Ten Conference has announced its Women’s Outdoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week for the week of April 29-May 6, 2026.
Track Athlete of the Week
Kelsie Belquist, Nebraska
Sophomore – New Rockford, N.Dak. – Major: Psychology
- Won the 400m Hurdles at the Desert Heat Classic with a new PR of 55.60
- Her time is No. 2 in Nebraska school history, No. 1 in the Big Ten and No. 6 in the NCAA
- Last Nebraska Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week award: Berlyn Shutz (April 29, 2026)
Field Athlete of the Week
Hadley Streit, Minnesota
RS-Junior – Throws – Saint Paul, Minn. – Major: Ind & Systems Engr
- Won Georgia’s Torrin Lawrence Memorial hammer throw with a mark of 69.72m (228-9)
- Her toss was the best in the NCAA this weekend and is fifth-best in the NCAA this season
- Last Minnesota Field Athlete of the Week award this season. Last: Anthonett Nabwe (April 29, 2026)

- In the Badger Challenge, 3,000m steeplechase
- Her time ranks second in the Big Ten and 10th in the NCAA West Region
