LINCOLN, Neb. – Oregon won the Women’s Big Ten Outdoor Track & Field Championships on Sunday. This is head coach Jerry Schumacher’s first women’s Big Ten Outdoor championship with the Ducks. With the win, Oregon becomes the first team to sweep the Big Ten men’s and women’s cross country, indoor and outdoor championships since Wisconsin did so in 1996-97.

Oregon took home five individual Big Ten Outdoor titles, as it won the triple jump, discus throw, 1500m, 100m hurdles and the 5,000m. In the triple jump, sophomore Sharifa Davronova set a meet record on her first attempt with a 14.13m (46-4 ¼) jump. In the running events, Juliet Cherubet claimed the 1500m with a time of 4:16.53 while Aaliyah McCormick won the 100m hurdles with a time of 12.43. Dalia Frias helped clinch the team title for the Ducks by running a winning time of 16:58.74.
