Oregon Claims Weekly Women’s Cross Country Award

ROSEMONT, Ill. – The Big Ten Conference has announced its Women’s Cross Country weekly award winner for the week of Sept. 24-Oct. 1, 2025.  

Athlete of the Week  
Juliet Cherubet, Oregon 
Junior – Eldoret, Kenya - AIC Mixed Secondary School – Major: Psychology 

• Finished in fifth place at the Gans Creek Classic with a 6K time of 19:20.3 
• In her cross country debut, Cherubet was the first Oregon woman across the finish line 
• Cherubet’s efforts help Oregon earn 6^th place as a team
• Last Oregon Athlete of the Week: Maddy Elmore (Oct. 16, 2024)
