Michigan Claims Cross Country Weekly Honors

ROSEMONT, Ill. – Michigan senior Henry Johnson secured Big Ten Weekly Honors for men’s cross country, while senior Gabbie Michael and freshman Katelyn Watkins claimed recognition for women’s cross country.

Men’s Cross Country Athlete of the Week

• Led Michigan at the EMU Fall Classic with a fourth-place finish
• Covered the 5K course in 15:07.30

Women’s Cross Country Athlete of the Week
Gabbie Michael, Michigan
Sr. – Frankenmuth, Mich. – Frankenmuth – Major: Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology

• Was the second runner to cross the finish line for the Wolverines at the EMU Fall Classic
• Completed the 5K course in 17:56.0 to place third overall

Women’s Cross Country Freshman of the Week
