Iowa, Michigan, Michigan State and Nebraska Claim Big Ten Weekly Indoor Track & Field Honors

Men’s Indoor Track Athlete of the Week
Jenoah McKiver, Iowa
Fr. – High Point, N.C. – T.W. Andrews – Major: Communication Studies

• Ran the eighth-fastest 600-meter time (all conditions) in NCAA history (1:15.36) at the Meyo Invite on Feb. 5 to improve his school record at Iowa
• Doubled back to anchor Iowa’s conference-leading and meet-winning 4x400-meter relay (3:05.63)
• Earns his third career Indoor Track Athlete of the Week honor and second in as many weeks
• Last Iowa Men’s Indoor Track Athlete of the Week: Jenoah McKiver (Feb. 2, 2022)
 
Women’s Indoor Track Athlete of the Week
Aurora Rynda, Michigan
Sr. – Toronto, Ontario – Lawrence Park – Major: Movement Science

• Dropped her indoor 800-meter personal record by nearly two-and-a-half seconds to a nation-leading 2:02.89 in a nearly three-second victory at the Meyo Invitational
• Became the only NCAA Division I runner to crack 2:04 for the 2022 winter season, with her time ranking No. 2 in Big Ten history for all track sizes
• Receives her third career Indoor Track Athlete of the Week honor and second of the season

Men’s Indoor Field Athlete of the Week
Burger Lambrechts Jr., Nebraska
Sr. – Pretoria, South Africa – Major: Mechanized Systems Management
• Won the shot put at the Frank Sevigne Husker Invite with a mark of 65 feet, 9.5 inches
• Leads the Big Ten and ranks fifth nationally in the event this season
• Secures his second career Indoor Field Athlete of the Week selection and first of the season
• Last Nebraska Men’s Indoor Field Athlete of the Week: Alex Talley (Jan. 26, 2022)
 
Women’s Indoor Field Athlete of the Week
Sophia Franklin, Michigan State
Sr. – Okemos, Mich. – Okemos – Major: Sports Coaching and Leadership
• Set a new school record for the indoor pole vault at the Meyo Invitational on Feb. 5, clearing a height of 4.38 meters
• Ranks first in the conference and eighth nationally in the event this season
• Garners her first career Indoor Field Athlete of the Week award
