Jr. – Fremont, Mich. – Fremont – Major: Secondary Education
• Won the John McNichols Invitational on Sept. 16, in Terre Haute, Ind., with an 8K time of 24:14.
• Won by 3.9 seconds, after taking the lead in the last 150 meters of the race
• Helped lead Purdue to the team title
• Collects his first career Big Ten Athlete of the Week accolade
• Last Purdue Men’s Cross Country Athlete of the Week: Jarel Carpenter (October 17, 2018)
Women’s Co-Cross Country Athlete of the Week
Berlyn Schutz, Nebraska
Fr. – Lincoln, Neb. – Lincoln East – Major: Political Science
• Won the Greeno/Dirksen Invite title on Sept. 16 at the Mahoney Golf Course in Lincoln, Neb., finishing the 5K course in a time of 17.10.6, 8 seconds faster than the next competitor
• Has opened her freshman season with two straight meet titles
• Secures her first career Big Ten Athlete of the Week award
• Last Nebraska Women’s Cross Country Athlete of the Week: Alea Hardie (October 5, 2022)

• Won the Spartan Invitational title on Sept. 15 at Forest Akers East Golf Course, finishing the 6K course in a time of 20:54.4, 8 seconds faster than the next competitor
• Helped the Spartans to its first victory of the season
• Named National Athlete of the Week by the USTFCCCA on Tuesday
• Secures her first career Big Ten Athlete of the Week award
