Indiana, Northwestern and Ohio State Garner Field Hockey Honors

<div class="payload-richtext">CHICAGO, Ill. – Allstate, the Big Ten Conference and Big Ten Network (BTN) today announced the creation of the Allstate Big Ten Women’s Championship Series, a new competition designed to spotlight and celebrate excellence in women’s athletics across the conference. The championship series is part of a first-of-its kind, multi-year partnership that establishes Allstate as the Official Insurance Partner of the Big Ten Conference and reflects Allstate’s 20-year legacy of supporting college athletics.With the partnership:<ul class="list-bullet"><li

Seven Big Ten Field Hockey Teams Ranked in the NFHCA Preseason Top 20 Poll

<div class="payload-richtext">ROSEMONT, Ill. – The Big Ten Conference has announced its television schedule for the 2025 field hockey season. The Big Ten Network (BTN) will broadcast seven conference games involving all nine participating schools. BTN will also cover the Big Ten Tournament from Bloomington, Ind., with a semifinal doubleheader on November 7, followed by the championship game on November 9. The first broadcast is scheduled for Friday, September 19, when Indiana plays host to Iowa. Field Hockey Fridays will be a theme on the linear schedule with an exception on Sunday, October 5, when Rutgers and Michigan face off in Ann Arbor. In addition to the BTN lineup, Big Ten games and nonconference contests will be streamed on B1G+, BTN’s subscription streaming service, providing access to stream 2,700 more games and next-day on-demand archives. <div class="payload-richtext">ROSEMONT, Ill. – The Big Ten Conference is celebrating its 111th class of recipients who earned the Big Ten Medal of Honor from their respective institutions during the 2024-25 academic year. Established in 1915, the Big Ten Medal of Honor is the conference’s most prestigious award. It was the first award in intercollegiate athletics to demonstrate support for the educational emphasis placed on athletics. The Big Ten Medal of Honor is awarded to one male and one female student-athlete from the graduating class of each member institution who has demonstrated excellence on and off the field throughout their collegiate career. This year’s class comprised student-athletes from 15 sports. Big Ten schools currently feature more than 11,000 student-athletes, but only 36 earn the award on an annual basis. Since the Big Ten Medal of Honor was first presented more than a century ago, just over 1,680 student-athletes have earned this unique distinction. Those names are on permanent display at the Big Ten Office in Rosemont.
