Big Ten Collects 21 All-America Honors from Inside Lacrosse
ROSEMONT, Ill. – Inside Lacrosse has recognized 21 Big Ten women’s lacrosse student-athletes, as the website announced its 2026 Division I Nike Women’s Lacrosse Media All-Americans. All-Americans were chosen by Inside Lacrosse staff.
Among the 21 Big Ten honorees, six schools are represented. Maryland and Northwestern led the Big Ten with five honorees each, one more than Michigan, and two more than Johns Hopkins. Penn State and Rutgers scored two honorees each.
Johns Hopkins’ Ava Angello, Lacey Downey, and Reagan O’Brien, Maryland’s JJ Suriano, Michigan’s Grace Callahan, and Northwestern’s Madison Taylor claimed First Team accolades.
Maryland’s Lauren LaPointe and Kori Edmondson joined Northwestern’s Jenika Cuoco on the Second Team, while Maryland’s Layla Gilmore, Michigan’s Emma Burke, Northwestern’s Noel Cumberland were named to the Third Team.
This is the second of a projected three All-America Teams to be released this postseason. The USA Lacrosse Magazine All-America Team was announced on March 8, with the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) All-America honors set to be announced on Thursday.
