Big Ten Scores 12 IWLCA All-America Honors
ROSEMONT, Ill. – Twelve Big Ten women’s lacrosse student-athletes were recognized by the nation’s lacrosse coaches on Thursday, as the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) announced its 2026 Division I All-America Teams.
Five Big Ten schools were represented among the team’s 48 honorees, with John Hopkins and Maryland earning four nods each. Northwestern claimed two awards, with Michigan and Penn State scoring one each.
Six honorees were named to the IWLCA All-America First Team, including a trio from Johns Hopkins, Ava Angello, Lacey Downey, and Reagan O’Brien. Joining the Blue Jays are Maryland’s Kori Edmondson and JJ Suriano and Madison Taylor from Northwestern.
Johns Hopkins’ Taylor Hess, Maryland’s Taylor LaPointe, and Northwestern’s Jenika Cuocco were named to the Second Team, while Maddy Sterling from Maryland, Grace Callahan from Michigan, and Delaney Radin from Penn State claimed Third Team honors.
This marks the third IWLCA All-America nod for Taylor, while Callahan, Cuocco, Edmondson, and O’Brien earn their second honor from the coaches.
Of the 12 honorees, 10 also earned All-America accolades from both Inside Lacrosse and USA Lacrosse Magazine , with Downey, O’Brien, Suriano, and Taylor earning First Team honors on all three teams.
