 </a> ROSEMONT, Ill. – The Big Ten Conference announced today that tickets are on sale for the 2026 Big Ten Conference Baseball Tournament Presented by IFS.ai, which takes place May 19-24 at Charles Schwab Field Omaha in Omaha, Neb.  </a>. Single-game tickets will be available on May 13. The Big Ten postseason tournament, featuring 12 teams, will have a new look this spring. The first three days of the tournament will feature double-elimination brackets, pairing eight teams seeded No. 5-12. Four games will be held on Tuesday, May 19, and Wednesday, May 20, and two games contested on Thursday, May 21, to produce four qualifiers. The four advancing teams will face seeds No. 1-4 in single-elimination quarterfinals on Friday, May 22. Semifinals take place Saturday, May 23, followed by the championship game on Sunday, May 24. “The new tournament format for the Big Ten is an important and positive change for our conference,” said Rutgers Head Coach Steve Owens, chair of the Big Ten coaches group. “The double-elimination portion guarantees teams at least two meaningful games with a chance to advance to the single-elimination quarterfinals. At the same time, the single-elimination portion rewards the top four teams from the regular season and sets up an exciting week for players and fans alike at Charles Schwab Field.” All 17 tournament games will be carried live by the Big Ten Network. The tournament champion receives the conference’s automatic berth into the NCAA Tournament. Nebraska has captured the last two tournament titles, drawing over 15,000 spectators to last year’s final. Three Big Ten teams are currently ranked in the national polls. UCLA is the consensus No. 1-ranked team while USC is listed at No. 10 and Oregon at No. 13 by Perfect Game. UCLA shortstop Roch Cholowsky is back for his junior season after earning three national player of the year awards in 2025. Charles Schwab Field Omaha will be hosting the Big Ten Tournament for the ninth time since 2014.</div>

<div class="payload-richtext">ROSEMONT, Ill. — Member institutions of the Big Ten Conference will be using TrackMan technology to evaluate home plate umpire strike-zones for the second-straight season in 2026. As such, Trackman is the exclusive ball tracking provider for the Big Ten. The Big Ten will utilize Trackman technology to provide in-game data and analytics to coaches and staff via in-dugout tablet. Trackman technology will also be used to evaluate and train umpires. TrackMan uses patented Optically Enhanced Radar Tracking (OERT) to deliver incredible results from a single, small system, from a backfield to the largest stadiums in the world.  TrackMan solutions include the world’s finest stadium tracking unit and is used by all 30 Major League Teams. In addition to the Big Ten, TrackMan is utilized by over 385 colleges as well as top amateur organizations, prominent collegiate summer leagues and is embedded in more than 1,000 stadiums around the globe. The Portable unit is used by the majority of TrackMan customers. “TrackMan has been working with Big Ten Conference institutions to enhance their player development, scouting, and recruiting efforts," says TrackMan Senior Manager James Snikeris. UCLA junior outfielder Will Gasparino was named National Hitter of the Week, while Arkansas junior left-handed pitcher Colin Fisher and Oregon State sophomore right-handed pitcher Dax Whitney were named National Co-Pitchers of the Week. The NCBWA Board reviews candidates from each Division I Conference and names winners each Tuesday throughout the season. Gasparino enjoyed one of the most complete and explosive weeks in the young Division I season, going 7-for-13 with five home runs, 13 RBIs, 23 total bases, seven runs scored, four walks and two hit-by-pitches while anchoring the Bruins' sweep of No. 7 TCU. The Los Angeles, California, native delivered a multi-homer performance in the 13-5 midweek win over Tulane on Tuesday and came up with another two-homer day in the 15-5 win over TCU to clinch the sweep in the series finale. Gasparino totaled a slugging percentage of 1.769 and an on-base percentage of .684 to lead the UCLA offense. He was also flawless defensively, converting all seven of his chances in the outfield.</div>

The letter reinforces the Big Ten Conference’s unwavering commitment to protecting the well-being and safety of student-athletes across all 18 Big Ten campuses, and the integrity of intercollegiate athletics.“The Big Ten Conference is proud to support our student-athletes in calling for the restriction or elimination of individual proposition wagers on college athletics,” said Big Ten Conference Commissioner Tony Petitti. SAIC members take an active role in monthly meetings discussing the issues most important to Big Ten Conference student-athletes and highlighting ongoing initiatives on their respective campuses.
